Health Benefits of Straight Teeth

It may surprise you to learn that straight and properly aligned teeth can do much more for you than create a beautiful smile. Misaligned teeth, whether due to spaces between the teeth, or crowding of the teeth can cause cavities, bite problems and gum disease. Many times, you won't be aware of these conditions.

While also improving your smile, correctly aligned teeth can alleviate many of the issues that can be caused by an improper bite. Speech or chewing difficulties, jaw problems, and increased wear on the tooth enamel can lead to broken teeth. Proper alignment of teeth also make brushing and flossing more effective and reduce the risk of gum disease.

Whether you have had braces previously but experienced a relapse; or you have never had orthodontic treatment, Invisalign can provide a beautiful and healthy smile.

Benefits of Invisalign® Treatment

Removable aligners - Invisalign aligner trays are not only comfortable to wear, but they are also removable. That means you can continue to enjoy all of the food you love. In addition, if you are attending a wedding or special event, no need to be camera shy! You can easily remove the aligners and say cheese!

No Pain - With Invisalign clear aligners, there is no need to worry about gum and mouth irritation that other orthodontic treatment may cause. There are no metal wires or sharp brackets that can pinch and poke at your gums and cheek.

Fewer dental visits - We understand that your life does not revolve around your teeth! Between work responsibilities and family obligations, you don't want to have to go to the dentist every month to get the smile you deserve. With Invisalign treatment, you will be seen every 6 weeks instead of once per month!

No Bleeding Gums - With conventional brackets and wires, food often gets stuck between them. This makes brushing and flossing time consuming and challenging. With the convenience of Invisalign removable aligners, there will be no changes to your regular brushing and flossing routine.

Insurance coverage - Invisalign is covered under many dental insurance plans with orthodontic benefits.

The Invisalign® Process

During your first visit with Dr. Mancuso, you will discuss your goals and evaluate whether Invisalign treatment is right for you. A fast and painless mold of your teeth will be taken, which will then be scanned into a special computer program. Dr. Mancuso will develop a treatment plan for your case, which will determine the tooth movements and how long your treatment will be.

Your custom made aligners will be made and delivered to you. Wear your Invisalign clear aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day for the best results, taking them out to eat and to brush and floss. Dr. Mancuso will see you for periodic check ups every 6 weeks. When your treatment is complete, you will receive a set of Vivera retainers. Vivera retainers are custom-made clear retainers that will help you keep your new smile for a lifetime.
