Woman smiling after getting Invisalign clear braces in Tampa, FL

No one wants to walk around with a mouthful of crooked or crowded teeth. When our teeth are misaligned, it takes a toll on our self-confidence and overall oral health. Invisalign clear aligners are adult braces that give you the discretion and comfortability you desire without resorting to metal braces.

Your Invisalign Fitting

Invisalign clear aligners are made from medical-grade plastic and shaped to fit your unique smile. Over time, Invisalign gradually aligns your teeth, giving you a more symmetrical smile. Dr. Mancuso will take a mold of your mouth and send the model of your teeth and bite to an Invisalign laboratory where a specialist will create your trays. Once your dentist receives your custom-made trays back from the lab, he will review the treatment plan and instructions with you.

Wearing Your Aligners

With Invisalign, you will wear each tray of aligners in stages. We recommend you wear each set of aligners for one to two weeks before using the next set. Each set of aligners will gradually move your teeth into the proper position, making you one step closer to your dream smile. Dr. Mancuso recommends wearing your aligners for 22 hours each day for optimal results. However, you can remove them to eat, drink hot beverages, and clean your teeth. Once your treatment is complete, you can enjoy a healthier, straighter smile.

Benefits of Invisalign Clear Aligners

There are numerous benefits to having a straighter smile with Invisalign clear aligners. There's a reason why millions of teens and adults choose to use Invisalign as their smile-enhancing solution.

Increased comfort - Virtually invisible, Invisalign aligners are comfortable to wear and don’t irritate the mouth. Invisalign can give you a straighter smile in a matter of months, and no one will even notice when you wear them. You may even forget you’re wearing them yourself!

Promotes good oral health - Not only does Invisalign make your smile more uniform, but it also promotes tooth and gum health. When your teeth are misaligned, food and bacteria can get easily lodged between your teeth, increasing your risk for cavities and gum disease. Straight teeth are much easier to clean, and they improve your digestion because you’re able to chew your food more thoroughly.

Relieves TMJ pain - Invisalign can also help relieve pain in your neck and temporomandibular joints (TMJ) caused by misaligned teeth or offset jaws. Your TMJ can work much more smoothly and effectively when your bite is balanced and aligned. Additionally, Invisalign aligners can protect your teeth from further damage caused by teeth grinding and clenching.
