A man with a toothache in Tampa Florida

Nothing causes more panic than a dental emergency! When a tooth is compromised, broken, or knocked out, you need immediate attention. That's why my team leaves openings in our daily schedule to handle emergency patients, and I provide same-day treatment whenever possible. If your tooth emergency occurs outside of our normal business hours, you'll receive instructions over the phone on how to reach us when you contact our Tampa, FL, dental office.

To ease your stress, here are some helpful tips on what to do while waiting for emergency dental care.

Lost Fillings or Dental Crowns

Lost or broken restorations are common emergencies, and I'll need to assess the situation to determine if we can repair your restoration or if we need to replace it. A missing crown or filling could cause sensitivity, so it's best to call us right away to determine if you need immediate treatment.

Knocked-Out Teeth

Treating a knocked-out (avulsed) tooth as soon as possible increases the chances that I can save it, so contact Carrollwood Village Dental immediately in this situation. Transporting your tooth carefully to our dental office increases our success, so if possible, carefully place the tooth back into its socket or use milk or saliva to keep it moist while you travel to our dental office.

Broken Teeth

Whether your tooth is chipped or broken into pieces, it will need attention. Our team can assess your condition over the phone to decide if you need immediate treatment. Bring the fragments of your broken tooth with you if possible.

Toothache or Dental Pain

Don't wait for a constant or severe toothache to resolve on its own, especially if it's keeping you from your normal activities. A severe toothache usually indicates an infected or abscessed tooth, and root canal treatment will eliminate your discomfort and the infection.

If you or a loved one needs emergency dentistry in Tampa, my team is here to help! Contact us at (813) 961-2200 for prompt emergency dental care.
